My Identity Music Video

As you can see on the top, is my music video about my identity and who I am. The music video shows both my physical traits, and my personality.  As you can tell from my video, I am short, but being short doesn’t stops me from doing what I want to do. I will do whatever I want to do without caring about my height as a disadvantage. I am very athletic and I can play volleyball, basketball, and soccer. These sports are very challenging since I’m small and short, but I’m not a person who gives up things easily so that’s why I can manage to play and enjoy these sports. I consider myself as a persistent person and never give up hope.

In the video, the category that impacts my personality the most is my friends. I believe that friends are a big influence to me, they could tell me what's good and what's bad. Friends are always there for us whenever you need them. They are someone to talk to when you have problems besides your family. From this video, you could see how the category "Friends" have pictures of me and my friends in different places, this is because we do many things together and we are a part of each others lives. But friends are not always good, because there are both good and bad friends, which depends who would you want to hang out with. I have had a bad friend before who tries to get me in trouble an always doing a bad thing, but now all my friends are good to me.

In the process of making the video, I had some technical problems that kind of freaked me out. I couldn’t open the songs at first so needed to convert the music files to open on a Mac. I also had problems on my final draft of the music video because I can’t open my songs on the video. I had to put all the music back together again and re-published the movie. I felt really good after the project was due because it took me quite a long time to do this whole video and I had a lot of stress.

  1. Tyni, you are truly creative! I like how you add captions to some of the pictures. It really helped improve my understandings toward the video. I can't even imagine about this idea! I also like the fact that you took pictures of yourself doing things and included them in the video. The songs also match the categories well. I simply agree with your reflection about how you think of yourself. However, I think you should add more pictures to the "family" section. Overall, I think you're video is just awesome :)

  3. Greetings Tyni!
I'm lucky to had a chance to watch your VDO! It's helpful how you included captions within some pictures for clarifications, I truly appreciate it. Also, I like how your reflection matches with the VDO. You wrote that friends played a main role in shaping your life, so you extended the categories on 'Friends' to be longer than others, it's a great idea! Further more, you had real life pictures of you doing your hobbies at home which is creative. I think this VDO would be perfect if your songs match with the categories. Generally I think it's a good use of my time watching your project, it also revealed a lot of personality traits that I never thought you would have.

  4. Nice job Tyni! I really enjoyed watching you video. One thing I liked about your video was that it was about 3 1/2 minutes long, with tons of photos and details, so I could fully understand you and your personality. I also loved how all your music was upbeat and cheerful, and how your song choice was great putting in songs like the "Friends Theme Song" in your friends category. Finally I loved how you properly explained each category with captions, for example (I am short, but can play sports - Physical Traits) and (I am very close to my brother - Family). One thing I felt you could improve on would be your music transitions, as songs would awkwardly overlap each other at some points in the video, such as at 2:14. Overall, I felt it was a great video.

  5. Tyni you did a great job on your video! I especially liked that you had captions to explain a lot of your pictures. I also noticed that you are okay with your height and that friends are important to you, since your friends section was relatively long. There really isn't anything that you have to improve on, except for the video quality, but that isn't your fault. Again, nice job!

  6. Hi Tyni!

I really like your video a lot. It's clear because you labeled most all your pictures which helped me understand what they represented. It was also really cool how you matched the music to what was being shown on screen with your photos of your friends. It's clear that's a big part of your life- you look so happy- it was my favorite part of your video. Some of the music transitions had overlap which sounded kind of funny, that's the only thing I would work on improving, but overall I think it was really well done. Way to go! :-)

    Sincerely,
    Ms. Z-M
